The microfluidics research group at Dalian Institute of Chemical
Physics (DICP) is an interdisciplinary team involving
researchers from chemistry, medicine, biology, physics and
engineering fields, respectively. This group engaged in the
study of capillary electrophoresis since the early 1990's, and
switched to microfluidics at the end of 1990’s.
Our current research is focused on the investigation of
microfluidics related theory, various functional elements
including microvalve/pumps, droplet operations, point-of-care
devices, biochemical method development as well as their
potential biomedical applications, with an emphasis on medical
diagnosis and drug screening at cellular and organism levels.
